Yep....and their is a ton of bitchin going on the bullet about this thing so I think it's gotta be good, and I hope that the substantial improvement in technology will close the gap between a SC and turbos.

What if you have a stock motor which procharger would you go with? Later on planning on doing some motor work but for now just an exhaust, cam. Not sure which kind of setup I am going to go with yet.

You'd be fine with D1sc or P1sc on a stock motor. The D1sc is still capable of over 700 rwhp if you decide to up the boost down the road. Procharger makes an amazing supercharger. We are proud to carry them.

Need to do some more research. Which one is the stage 2 procharger?

There is no "stage 2" procharger.

It's a stage II system....not supercharger. You can read more about it on this page. http://www.procharger.com/Camaro.shtml

You have a few different superchargers you can use....biggest thing I see is SII has bigger intercooler and inlet pipe and you can run up to an F1.

I am building an lsx 427, and I spoke with procharger at PRI and they recommended the f1x, and it sounds like a great supercharger. Bigger, less parasitic loss, etc.

Yes I am sure the X is taking over the R but still the question remains will it outproduce a F2? I am calling first thing tomorrow to get some feedback on actual output.

Share what they told you....cause Ron left PRI under the impression that the X would outperform the 2.

Was at PRI Friday. Even stopped by the ProCharger booth just to check out the latest goodies. The difference between the F1-X and the F-2 is the size of the wheel (just like on a turbo) hence the power difference.

F1-X: Inducer 4.20" Exducer 6.0"
F-2: Inducer 4.50" Exducer 6.75"

for reference
F-3A-121: Inducer 4.76" Exducer 6.25"

Have experience with a F-2 on a 540 BBC and it has huge capacity. 1108 hp at 14 psi on 91 octane with very conservative tune.

So this seems to confirm my belief that the F1-X will outperform the F1-R but does not meet F2 standards as it just isnt big enough blower to keep up with the F2. Im hoping to really push an F2 to its limits and see what it can really do on race gas with some nitrous.

I think there is more to it than this though....the F1X has a larger inlet and the same outlet size and has a 7k higher max impeller speed.

I am eager to here what they have to say...I will also talk to Ron tomorrow too as we only texted during the PRI show.
