HELP with gears

My fellow camarocans !

Can someone in the Ohio area help me find someone to swap out my gears for 3.91.

I went to 2 Chevy Dealerships today and both said they have to research it even when i gave them the part numbers.
Also they said they never did the swap usally they just remove and replace the whole rear end.

Also they said it will void the warranty
.
I even showed them the Chevy website that has the 1le gears and its a performance upgrade that does not void the warranty.
SO they supposed to research and call me....

Again they seem to not have a clue?

I am in Columbus Ohio and I would even consider driving to a nearby state if price is right.

SO if you had GEARS installed or know any one who can do the swap CORRECTLY..please point me in the right direction and cost.
Thanks

A) its sad how uneducated these chevy dealers are on their own products.
B) IPS is probably the most respectable high performance shop in your area...maybe even ohio. I drove from Cleveland to Columbus to have engine work done on my car (had a couple hiccups and expect to pay up) overall im satisfied and the car runs strong.

Look for Chevrolet Performance dealership, they do the installs. None of the local ones where I live are one either. I believe you can look up a dealer on the Chevy performance website with the products. Try that.

From what I gather, the Chevy Performance shops are independent of the dealership and Chevy service departments even though that is where they work out of. Not sure if that is the case with all of them, but that is what I was told by the ones I spoke with.

I did that, and the listing showed a chevy performance was for a shop in medina ohio and it was 35 miles from me. Not a bad drive but I called and got the run around. and then I called later in the day and ask for a tech to help me, and thats when he said just get the whole rear end ( it will be easy for both of us) from a 1le its less work and will work. They won't confirm it will be 100 if they swap gears and Yes i will loose the warrenty. Because it is not the original gear they will replace. If it was something wrong with my gear and change it to the same gear it would be no issue.

That answer alone made me choose to go else where.

We have to been told by a GM Rep at the Last Camaro5 Fest that if you order this Part Number 19301504, which is a GM Part Number, that it could be installed at a GM Dealership, computer reflashed by GM and Warrantied.

I thought that was the case also.
i went to jeff wyler chevy here in canal ohio near ricart.
I called jack maxton and
the only actual performace shop was Coughlin in Marrysville 37 miles from me.
JEFF HAD NO CLUE...
and last 2 said i would void warranty because its not the original 3.27 gear i am replacing. better get the whole 1le rear end.

AutoNation Chevy dealerships sell new Henessey modified Chevs. If you have an AutoNation Chevy dealership near you, they appear to be good with warranty if you have them change your gears.

Do you need any supporting parts when installing 3.91 gears vs. stock 6 spd? Assuming you are (or will be after) out of warranty. If not, I would imagine this is one of the best bang for your buck mods you can add.

Here is the sheet you get with the gear kit. One thing has changed, the shim kit is no longer included.
