1st Time using Royal Purple
Today I switched from Mobil 1 to Royal Purple! I usually smirk when I read responses like this, but I could actually tell that it idles smoother and has less valve noise than before.
Plus now I have peace of mind knowing exactly what's in it. Before, I would take it to the dealer, but who really knows what the guy doing the work at the dealership is putting in YOUR car? Just like look at all the cars that get filled up with regular unleaded instead of super like they require? You would assume that this would be a No Brainer, but it happens all the time. |

Most of us notice a difference when we change fluids of any kind....especially if we 'want' to believe its a better product. Royal Purple is a good product............much better than the Mobil 1 of today. Enjoy

I agree that it is a good product too. That why I wanted to try it even tho it was much higher!
But I didn't expect it to have those positive effects that I would notice. On the contrary, I thought it would be exactly what you sai, just someone "wanting" to believe it helped out. I see people say things on the forum all the time in an exaggerated way. But ill give royal purple it's due compliments and say that I could actually tell a noticeable difference right off. |

I've been contemplating switching to that as well.
Are you going to be at ADM on Friday? |

Mobil 1 has around 1700 ppm anti wear. The new RP HPS has around 3300 ppm anti wear. Mobil 1 will protect any newer engine but it is not the best option. |

Not here to start a pissing match.....just don't understand the follow the leader mentality here. It says it on the oil cap, so it must be best.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but if the oil you are using isn't dexos approved then your warranty may not be covered if something happens.....FYI
Granted a lot of people don't care about a warranty and have modded past caring but for those of you that do car beware.
