2011 Cadillac SRX Detail

Last year, I did this customer's DTS, which was some of the hardest paint correction I've ever done. This year, he brought me his 2011 SRX. He just bought it in April and this thing only has 15k miles on it, although you'd assume 115k from the paint. Swirls all over, seriously nasty RIDS all over, ring/fingernail scratches in and around every door handle, bug splatter and etching. This thing has it all.

He wanted a full cleansing/decon and for me to get out as many of the RIDS as possible. He wasn't interested in a full paint correction for the swirls but I couldn't help myself on the hood.

A few befores last night when it was dropped off:

Last night I did the wash and decon:
-Tires and wheels wells treated with SCG APC and assorted brushes
-Wheels got SCG Active Wheel Cleaner with boar's hair and wheel woolies
-Exhaust tips got SCG APC
-Paint stripped with SCG Surface Prep wash
-Speedy prep and clay

This morning I needed to address the paint correction and interior
-Interior got Megs D101 10:1
-Treated with Werkstat Satin Prot and Adam's TID
-Most correction was done with M101 and BnS 4'' MF cutting pads
-Larger panels were hit with FG400 and 5.5'' BnS MF cutting pads
-Used CCS hand pad (orange) w/ M101 to get inside door handles
-Exhaust tips got Mother's metal polish
-Windows got Meg's D120
-Finished with Blackfire Wet Diamond on a flat red pad

I wish you lived closer so I could watch. Night and day results as always, those RIDS are scary, nice to see you got just about all of them.

The lower skirt section, assuming it is plastic, did you have to do anything with this and if you did what did you do?

Thanks. It's actually painted. And a pretty nice touch it actually has PPF over it too. I'm assuming that was factory but I don't know.

Holy spit!!!!! That is some nice job. Let me ask, were you afraid to drive it because of the key recall?
Kidding. Nice work!

Thanks everyone. It is a really nice vehicle. For a 2011 it had a ton of nice features.
