What the heck? Looks like someone poured something down the hood vent.

Looks like muddy water went in the vent. Is it gritty like dirt?

Yup, something dirty fell into the hood vent on that side...

If I had to guess, I'd say it happened during the transit. Probably went through a storm when it was on the truck. Had some mud kick up perhaps. I'd clean that while its fresh.

Let this be a lesson guys... Coffee may get YOU moving faster, but giving your Camaro a starbucks latte is NOT going to make it go faster.

The real answer is "poor engineering." The hood vent just dumps crap in that location of the engine bay. Whatever was outside got in. Probably muddy water. If the car was on a carrier, something may have been above it dripping down.

You guys are probably correct, but it has a little dexcool color to it. I'm not saying it is, but It's hard to tell without actually being there to touch it and see it up close.

For some reason, when I first saw your post I read it as "pooped my hood..." instead of "popped my hood.."

Agree that it should be looked at. And because it is right near the upper coolant hose and radiator connection, I'd make sure it isn't Dexcool.

That's what I'm thinking. Like it was on a car transport and up above it was an old car that was leaking old radiator fluid.

Dealership probably got the crap off the exterior but didn't bother to clean the engine.

How would that get in and all over the engine bay?
