Questions for guys with Automatics:
Since I drive a manual could someone with an automatic tell me the following:
1. Is the lighting under the gear indicator on the automatic shifter always on - or only when the interior/ABL/headlights are on? 2. Is the shifter position always displayed in the DIC? 3. Do you usually look at the shifter or the DIC to know what position/gear your shifter is in? Thanks in advance. |

The letters are llluminated but the gear selection is a small red led that is hardly noticeable. The DIC will indicate if you are in D or S. When using tap shift the gear you are in is displayed in the DIC M1,M2 etc. Personally I almost always use tap shift and if I am not using it I am in sport mode. Yes I do look at my DIC to see what gear I'm in when using tap shift under normal driving condition, but when driving in an agressive manner I pay more attention to my tach.
