The 2011 SRT's are going to start around 44,000-45,000, roughly 5-6K above a similarly loaded 2SS/RS (which you need to get to equal the SRT8).

Considering the Z/28's price hasnt been released, but it will likely hover around 50,000..the 2SS/RS is a more fair comparison.

But a 2SS/RS with an automatic and stripes (standard on the SRT8) is 38,000.

So I was off, the 2SS/RS similarly equipped is 6,000-7,000 less.

If you add the 21" wheels the price jumps up to 42,680.

No argument. But, if I was going to order a V8, I would buy the Challenger. Probably a 5.7 RT six-speed. The Challenger is unfairly hammered for being "too heavy" or "too slow" when compared to the Mustang/Camaro. The Challenger is a larger car, and [in my opinion] should be classified as "full size muscle".

I don't see the Z/28 being priced that high. I'm sure you can add options to get it there, but it's anyone's guess what the starting MSRP will be. My guess is it will start at around 42k. Starting at 50k is somewhat close to a base Corvette that starts at around 49k.

I still like the Challenger,

It's nice to see the Mustang and Camaro duking it out though. Competition breeds better cars.

Take a 2SS/RS Automatic (38,000) add in the Supercharger (5,000) high power brakes (1500) unique front facia and maybe rear end (1,000) and upgraded interior (500) plus the fact the block of the LSA simply costs more (500)...

38,000+5,000+1500+1000+1000=46,500

And add in specialty options and it will go higher.

My guess is, at minimum base MSRP will be 46,500. It will likely be closer to 47,000

You'll probably need to add a gg tax too. I think it will be closer to 50K.
