Dealer ordered the wrong car!!!

Thank you everyone for all of your advice. You all agree with my wife! You are all correct and I should listen to reason, plus another 3 to 6 months of saving for a larger down payment isnt so bad. I guess the worst part will be getting a 2010 in late 2009 or actually 2010, doesn't seem as special.

I would get any deposit back.
Go to another dealer
Also complain to GM that this happened!! That is BS!!!

Wait and get what you want. That is a big investment to not have what you want. I would check with the dealer and see if they can fast track a correction order. I would think GM would listen to them since they screwed it up.

If you don't mind a drive, you could check with Dellenbach Motors up in Ft. Collins. They have a SIM 2LT/RS listed as in stock (with a $2k over MSRP price on it). Call to see if they still have it and would be willing to come down to MSRP to sell it sooner rather than later.

Definitely get the Camaro you want… You will most likely still enjoy the wrong order but you will kick yourself in the @$$ everyday for not having what you ordered / wanted in the first place… It’s your hard earned cash you’re putting down and it’s not your fault the dealer dropped the ball. Who knows, since your dealer pretty much screwed the pooch on this one see if they'll buy something like this, ship it in and sell it at the price you had agreed upon. If that means they are losing 2k on the other dealer's markup it's too bad. Your future business/word-of-mouth advertising is likely to be worth far more than that.

Sorry to hear this happened to you... I feel your pain tho when my 2LT Black came in with no RS package i was like WTF!!! but ended up taking the car as it was because i wasnt gonna wait another 3 months for it..

but i mean a 1LT from a 2LT is more of a big deal for me.. u do lose alot of those extra features...

in your situation dude i would prolly look elsewhere... I mean if it was just the RS package id take the car as is.. you can aftermarket the parts yeah defiantely can down the road

but to get all the features the 2LT has like leather seats hmmm gonna cost you a lot more


Soo yeah short answer.. re-order or order from other dealer :(:(:(
