Best way to clean black trim?

I have a problem with getting polish and waxes on my black trim..mostly around the door window area.

I'm just curious what the best cleaner is for getting all the white crap off and restoring it back to the satin black finish it has?

I know I should mask them off but I'm too lazy lol

Thanks

Try Adams APC on a good micro towel and then apply VRT or in- out spray..some of the detailers on here can also give good advice.

See vids with the products if no sure how to use....I use Adams as I like the products, know they will not harm the car or me and good service.

Edit: if you are talking about your stripes, Adam recommends the clear polish if anything

Never used Adams but it's obviously pretty popular...I've had great luck with chemical guys' products for a few years now.

Umm I have some issues, poorboys and chemical guys are two different companies. Also the Poorboys trim restorer is a dressing and will not completly clean your trim. Plus it is meant for neglected trim.

First use a degreaser/APC to remove the existing wax then you can through on a trim restorer/protectant.

I use the following products

P21s Total Autowash (this will degrease and clean the trim)
Followed my BlackWow or 303 Aerospace to dress the trim

guess I shouldve been a little more specific - it kinda gouged the trim (dunno how I managed that one) it almost looks like it was sanded in one spot... Im thinking I need new trim -(Above the drivers side window)

Hey Bumblebee - how did you get your steering wheel trim yellow? Did you paint it yourself or did it come stock or was it aftermarket? I know where I can pick up the gauge trim in color, but the steering trim I have not yet seen as aftermarket.

I know RPI has them, or at least I think RPI has them. Painting it isn't too hard though.

I have found the dash and console trim at RPI, just not the steering trim. I am not sure I want to do it on mine, especially if I would need to paint it myself. I'm not that talented.

I got mine from thecarbonfiberspecialists a little while back - I wouldnt recommend them anymore though as a lot of members had problems with them. The workmanship is great but their customer service is horrible... do a search on the forum for them and you'll see what I mean
