Rear axle/ deifferential question
New to this forum have a question for any one that can help. I have a 2011 ss and I'm bolting on kooks headers, borla atak cat back, short shift, 4.10 gears, and getting a tune over the Christmas holiday. Question is do I need to be worried about the back axle? And at what power range does it need to be changed? Later on this next year I will also be adding a cam and turbo

Shouldn't need anything for those mods, but the cam & turbo will likely warrant and upgrade. I think the rear is suppose to handle 600 hp, but some members are breaking stuff in stock form, so it may depend on driving style

If you know for sure you're adding a turbo, dont buy headers.
As for axles, their longevity is usually linked to how hard you drive the car. With a cam and turbo though, axles and a driveshaft should be strongly considered....sooner or later something is gonna break.
