Police Pushbar and lights pics from Wizzer
Hi all
Been silent in here for along time. Been really busy with life. Still have the camaro. Almost paid off now and all my mods are still doing strong. That is actually very surprising because that silly 25 dollar Knight Rider light still works perfect years later. Anyhow.... Thought you all might want to see the Camaro now. I work with the Macon Ga police and the EMA. We are a volunteer group that does traffic, search and rescues and of course fatalities among other things. The state issues us permits for red lights after the training and voting in. Here is my car now. I went with the push bar because to work out on the highway the state police require 360vis for emergency lights and due to the door design light-bars would be to invasive on the roof. Everything I did unbolts and the car is undamaged. I have tons of pictures of the install process and night videos if anyone was interested. Take care all. Wizzer |

I will have an unpredictable Camaro, so it's possible! I have to get one first, though.

pushbar for the win.. now only if it had a hidden detach mount so when you get where you're going you can pull it off.

I like how the Camaro has a push bumper but none of the cruisers do!

Naw you don't need to take it off when you get there if you have a real purpose for it to be on the car in the first place. Once I am out of my township what I can do with the car and the lights drop. I can always use the lights for safety related things but I would hate to pull the bar off just due to all the wiring that went in there. I document everything so let me make a few posts with some suggestions and tell you all some of the things i did wrong so you can learn. Here is my victory dance in my kitchen after struggling to get the front cover off. No idea why I brought it in the kitchen but it seemed like a good idea at the time..... And BTW if you don't have a high power LED headlamp when you work on your car your a nobody. lol Drop lights are for squares. More to come... Wizzer...... |

Our town has both. I will have to ask what the qualifications are for having a pushbar or not. Might be cost in today's environment. My pushbar was around 450ish if I remember right and then comes the expense of the lights..... omg... its terrible. Yes you can get knocks offs if you want to but I bought it all over 6 months and almost all mine is Whelen. I only went off brand if they didn't make what I wanted. Like a dual color traffic directional bar in the rear deck that can go yellow and red. Wizzer |
