But that's when they drill in AK. Build roads and pads on snow... snow melts away in the summer and no footprint left behind.

The biggest reason is because when it melts you can't drive over streams and lakes, so yes it's the only time to get things done, on spy island and others they are actually in the water but ice in the winter..

Zero footprint is what the tree hugger's like! But DeadHorse is actually on land with an Airport where everyone flies into

Actually, I got home about an hour ago... I left the rig after working from 6am until 10 pm, and then typed my handover notes, packed, showered etc, and left the rig. I made it to Hammond La and had to stop at 3:30 this morning... Got up at 10:30 and fought traffic all the way home... Just had dinner, getting ready to clean me and go to bed... I'm flat worn out...

Rob,

I am looking forward to spending time with my family tomorrow and over the long weekend. I am also beginning to think that we need our own spot, a real Pedders Nation. We would have strict immigration polices and only let in our own kind. Russ, You, Chris, Doug, Big Mike... car guys, good guys... extended family kinda thing. Of course I would need a bigger dining room table.

Where are you on January 7th this year?
