Second time they ruined your paint?
Construction zone behind?

Not a chance. It was detailed right before it went into the service bay. The car was perfect.

Swirls like the ones in your photo take time to develop, it’s not likely the dealer caused all of them in one wash.

I've had this exact same thing happen to me too. I took a car in for service and the paint was spotless. When I went to get the car, it looked like yours but worse. I saw the paint damage when I walked up to my car and refused to take it off the lot until they fixed it. The paint work that was needed turned into a 3 week adventure. I hope your situation is handled much quicker.

How many miles are on your car? I had those chips on the gills within the first few thousand miles on both of my SSs. It's just a common issue on these cars, especially black ones.

I have somewhere north of 11k though that is meaningless here. The car was perfect when it went in for service.

I just find it hard to believe that you have 11k miles and no chips on the quarter gill area.

wont solve anything for you but 2 days after I brought my car home I noticed under the garge lights a big ship of paint that someone tried to fix and polish. You could see it at just the right angle under just the right light. I know if I take it back I will get the dumb:"we cant see it, are you sure?" response....

I don't understand why it's hard to believe. I'm telling you that the car was perfect. If it wasn't I wouldn't have said a word when I picked it up. The dealership management testified to this fact when the service director went full douche bag about it. The general manager along with 2 other employees handed this car over to the service people in perfect shape. We all walked around the car after detailing and there was not a scratch, swirl or chip in the paint.

I had 21000 miles on my 1LT RS when I traded it in a few weeks ago and I never had any paint chips on the gill area...

I took pictures of the car (with my cell phone camera) in the service drive when I dropped it off. I showed the pictures to shop manager and service rep and said there is no mark on this car or a dent, I would like it returned that way. I also told them not to run the car through an automatic wash.
