the onstar vcim in the ls and 1ss dont have the port for bluetooth antenna. you would need the bluetooth vcim and antenna. problem is gm wont sell it to you for some reason. some of us on here are talking to gm about that also

Wow, way to make that look easy.

As I've torn into my car the more and more I realize that this car was designed by this guy...

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. lol

Will this void the manufacturing warranty in any way? That is the only thing I'm worried about.

seeing as how it is a gm program and a gm part i realy cant see where there would be a problem. The switch might not be covered for the duration of warranty if you had an issue with it since it was added on.When you order remote start for these vehicles you have to get them programmed from gm and all it is is a new key fob/clicker and a new program. That wont void any type of warranty. The only time i have ever seen them not warranty something that went wrong is because of an aftermaket install ie exhaust, radio, wheels and stuff like that. They cant say the program is what made your bcm go bad because it was from them. you will get a reciept from your dealer with the fact that it was gm programmed by them. The bulletin i posted says gm is ok with you adding this to your car. They just arent going to pay to get it done, because there isnt a fault with your vehicle, just like if you wanted the usb port. same thing gm part and program not gonna void your radio warranty. To tell you the truth unless you mentioned the fact of installing them at a later date they probably wouldnt even know since it is a factory switch. I am looking for gm to come out with an upgrade kit for this option anyways. It was way too easy and a ton of people want them.

I just check on my LS and all the wires appear to be connected to the SIR Coil. and When I checked the Lt. Green Wire with my Voltmeter, and pressed my buttons. I was able to see the voltage appear and each button was a different voltage, So I guess I'll take it to the dealer with the PIC5320 and ask them to activate it.

Thanks for all the work 'techsupport'

I am so glad to hear about this, my parts are on order now! I already have the PDIM and the bluetooth module, this was the only thing I was missing!

Thanks for the great information!

if you plug it in the only thing that works when you plug it in is the back lightsof the switch none of the switch buttons function until programmed. the src button is for source (am,fm,xm,aux jack, or ipod) it will toggle between the bands and accessories.
