See respone above.....
it's only natural to doubt some info if it comes without a very verifiable background.

but, i personally can't reveal who my in is. but they speak only little bits to me from time to time.

and i guess since it's coming out publically that i can attest to yes; the z program is moving ahead. it's actually been moving ahead for the past 6-7 weeks now.

keep in mind, i used to work for a company back in detroit who carried an exclusivity contract with GM for many years in regards to their cad data and i've known things you guys would kill for for years.

believe me, knowing is harder then not knowing cause all you have left then is the time to wait.

just be assured that the people who can, are bringing you the best of the best.

Well all I can say is, I wonder if your friend knows you are coming on to websites and telling everyone what he is confiding in you.

I assume he or she knows their job is on the line..................which as much as I'd like to share with the brothers and sisters here on Camaro5..............I don't. It would be immediate termination for me on swiping my badge tomorrow morning if I were to tell you what I know. And the best part is Shnomac understands that.....................at least I hope he does.

The official word is there is no Z28, or in the words of the faithful, maintain hope.

When GM releases the Z28, I'll believe it.

It would be nice to see this enter production. That LSA is a beast. I'd like to see a release date for it.

Oh goody, reason for speculation.

I missed you speculation - welcome back!

Also, I like the letter Z and the number 28. Is good.

Price? $49,995 (my guess)

That makes no sense but it's kind of true.

How's he supposed to pull it down when you just quoted it in your reply?

That article is incredible. It's like 3 words.

"Allegedly, some dude says the Z28 is on. Oh noes, said Ford"

That's my version.

officially yes, there is no z28.

that doesn't mean though that i can't confirm whats already been leaked out.

i dont think there's anything being tresspassed here; and believe me i know nda's like the back of my hand. or if i had released info prior to anyone else breaching the info out, same situation. what usually tends to happen is that once an nda is breached it can be confirmed by anyone else without issue of reprimand. though, needless to say there has been a time or two where everyone gets swept under the carpet.

now, if i had posted an internal document that i got my hands on saying anything they yeah, breach. same thing for letting go details; i seriously doubt that anyone would get the backside of the hand considering there are images that have been floating around for a while confirming work done on a z28 badged camaro; it's not as if the public hasn't known about it for a while.

i'm not going to bother removing it cause in the end, it doesn't even mean anything. i'll caviat this post with saying, i dont work for gm so take any and all posts with your own personal grain of salt.

Remember the last time, info came in about the z28, majority of the people just shut it down...but then we got images and more deatails....dont shoot everything down, you just never know.
GM already knows that its getting an amazing response with the Camaro, heck theyre already making an executive package, they know the market is there, why would they pass on the Z28 especially if they have it designed already.

There have been TONS of cars throughout history that have been shelved for various reasons. They were all designed but never released. Saturn EV1 anyone?

GM knows the Z28 is low volume. The bean counters want to sell the eff out of the 29MPG V6 right outside of bankruptcy.

Think about it. Many of us would trade-up in a nanosecond for a new Z28. So, GM hooks us with a sale of a 2010 Camaro now and then gets us to trade in for a 201x Camaro Z28. Brilliant.
...no I think people would hold out on the z28 and NOT buy the SS now.

Let's be reasonable.

Is GM really gonna drop an off-the -shelf LSA into the Camaro and tweak the suspension and fascias?

You betcha!

We don't need no 2011 Mustang Coyote's blowing our doors off, now do we?
