Could someone answer a few questions on R6P, the VIN and a spare tire?

I found the exact Camaro that I was going to order on the camaro.spasticsquirrel.com database. It's showing an add date of only a few days ago and it's a few hours away from my location. I'm going to call tomorrow to see if it's already sold.

The database is showing a VIN of almost 23,000 and it was an R6P order. Does this mean it was a pre-order and might have been bayed for months because of a problem and now has a high VIN number?

Secondly, the window sticker is showing it has no spare tire. Don't they all have spares? It's a 2SS/RS with polished rims. Below is from the window sticker.

DISCOUNT OPTION PACKAGE
TIRE & WHEEL SPARE - DELETE
TIRE SEALANT & INFLATOR KIT IN PLACE OF SPARE TIRE

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

SS models don't have a spare. Still plenty of RP6 orders that haven't been fulfilled yet.

I'm R6P as well and my VIN I bet will be in the 30's... I have a TPW of 08/06...

So the VIN is assigned last? So if there's a problem is it bayed after it was built then the VIN might be assigned months later right before it leaves the factory?

The spare tire is an option (not standard) on all the models, including the LT.

No, the VIN is assigned as soon as the car is built. Believe it or not, there are R6P orders still waiting to be built. Someone's probably been waiting for the one you saw a long time!

VIN # is set during the build and doesn't change... even if it is bayed.

A bunch of folks in the 4000 range are just now getting their cars. 23000 would be recently built... and if it's R6P it's probably spoken for, but give it a shot... Anything can happen...

Donut spares won't fit over the Brembo brakes on the SS's. Air pump kit and fix-a-flat comes instead..

I thought about that when I saw it was a R6P order. Maybe someone couldn't wait and got one off the lot. I'll find out tomorrow if it's sold. I saw the air pump kit on some other threads and thought if came with the spare.
