40 mph whining sound.
Hey guys,
I bought my Chevy camaro in April of 2013 and for the past couple of months I've noticed a whinning, scrapping sound when I would push on the gas around 40-48 mph. I thought it was the brakes and took it in to the dealership but the sound comes and goes and they couldn't find anything. Now its making that sound everyday and it sounds like a washer is loose or something. I have already made an appt again with my dealership for this Saturday and hope they can find what the problem is. Thanks! |

Where is it coming from? Rear end?

It sounds like its coming from the front of the car. Maybe my side. Odd thing is, I thought it had something to do with the fuel line cause it only happens when I step on the gas pedal.

Ok. Could be so many things. Do you have custom exhaust? Have you done a visual inspection on the heat shields? They might be loose. If you have custom exhaust. It may be your exhaust tapping on your crossmember. Try removing it or throwing a few washers on it to give it space between your exhaust and the crossmember.

No, I don't have anything custom on it. All stock. I haven't looked at the heat sheilds.

The driver side mirror is the culprit
