CD Player

Does anyone know for sure if the CD player is just one CD Player or a 6 CD player. Is there an upgrade possible to 6 CD player. Usually you can with the BA systems.

I don't think there is an option for a 6-disc player.

The only versions that get it standard are the, 2SS and 2LT.
It's an option for the 1LT, but not available at all for the 1SS or LS.

I still don't understand why that package isn't available for the 1SS. Well an aux input works just fine for me. I just put my ipod on shuffle or a playlist and go, and I'm not a sound quality snob, but I can understand why the USB and PDIM would be wanted by so many buyers. I wouldn't be surprised to see that package added to the 1SS for the next MY.

No more CD's for me! I'll be using my mp3 player or a memory stick.

Yeah, I was thinking pretty much the same thing. I have an iPod, but when you can get a 16 gig usb thumb drive for like $30, why bother with the hassle of trying to remember to grab your iPod every time you get in your car?

like stated before, i'm getting a 1SS & i don't have a music player, so it's either radio or single CD (not that that bothers me at all, but some people will be a little upset). i understand the concern, but this ain't 1967 when you can just see an option on a list & say i want that! they make packages that'll benefit a general group & if you want something different, either upgrade packages or go aftermarket. it keeps manufacturing costs down & profits up (both of which GM could use right now).

Maybe I will wire in my 8track player for true retro. Do you think it will work with the auxillary jack?
