I don't know if I can get my 60' time down any more, when I floor the pedal the engine lugs until 5000 RPM's and the car just goes then. I did start doing a small burnout before staging though, that may have helped. Going to stay at 3.48" pulley for a while though.

Do you brake stall before you launch? Might be time for a looser converter too...

I just hold the brake and rev the engine up a little bit to take the slack off the driveline. If I leave higher than idle the tires spin.
For fun, here is a video from Friday of me beating up on a V8 Camaro with headers, tune, intake. |

If he was he never showed it. Most V8 owners at the track are impressed by my times and the mods I've done. The biggest trash talkers are the ones that never go to the track or ones that make up BS times and excuses.
It is so tempting to go to a smaller pulley right now but I want to get more data on this pulley. |

You smoked him off the line. Nicely done.
Love this pulley work your doing. Hopefully by the time I get my IPF S/C in a few months this will be a std upgrade.

Don't know if this will be a standard upgrade since it requires more monitoring unless Arno gets the tune perfect.
This hot weather is pissing me off, I only get 10.4 psi, but before I was only getting 8, so still a boost. This car hauls ass in 3rd gear with this pulley when it is in the powerband, if you look at the 2nd timeslip that was a race against a bolt-on V8 Camaro M6. He trapped higher than me at the 1/8th mile but I trapped higher than him in the 1/4 mile. If conventional wisdom that trap speed is how much HP you have, then I'm pushing a lot of power. It is tempting to do go down more but I need to see what she will do in colder weather. |

Good news, asked Andy about the bypass valve handling more boost and he said the engineers said it can handle 150 psi without bleeding out with the way it is designed. It isn't the black plastic one Vortech sales, so that saves a lot of money there.

Haven't been lately, it has been over 100 degrees here lately. I also removed the spacers to see if it will make a difference. Might be a few weeks since rain is in the forecast.

Will be racing on September 7th, bracket style racing so I will need to dial my car in. My wife is also racing her Mustang since the cars have to be under 13.99, which hers is. She is consistent as long as she doesn't blow the tires off.

Car has been running good, just did a test with the stock intake manifold over my ported intake manifold, the stock one robbed some torque down low and wasn't consistent up top. Will be testing a LFX manifold soon to see if there are any gains with that in a LLT motor. Pulley size wise, I will give the current 3.48" pulley a good run in October/November when the DA is low, get the best time I can. Over the winter I will be going to a smaller size, 3.40" or 3.33". The 3.33" should be 14 psi, which I want to do but wonder if the engine can handle it on stock components. |

Cooler denser air that time of the year will help. I believe you will run out of fuel before you hurt the internals according to a couple guys on here pushing the limits. Unless you upgraded it (can't remember) I am trying to keep a goal of February to install my smaller pulley and methanol kit. That should be a fun dyno run ;-) good to catch up keep us posted!
