Bumper coming off for grill.... what else? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok so I have the ZL1 grill sitting in my garage waiting to be put on. Don't think I can get to it for another couple weeks.

Throw out some suggestions for mods that either require the bumper to be pulled or would be easier to do with the bumper pulled.

little too much ZL1 for me. Don't get me wrong I love the look but I'd rather have a custom look.

I keep thinking some lighting mods.

Would it be easier to do a front splitter with the bumper off?

Custom look? You're putting on a stock GM grille... not really custom.

Yes I am doing a ZL1 grill but I am not doing the whole thing. The stock SS grill is nothing amazing and I really like the ZL1 grill. I looked at aftermarket grills and the ZL1 is still my favorite.

I plan on doing more to give it a custom look not a ZL1 wanna bee.

I get what your trying to do. I'm in the same boat. I've got a v6 so my lower grill doesn't match the ZL1 grill as good as the SS one does. I think I'm gonna start there after I finish my bow tie.

Yeah take pieces from different kits and put them together to create your own custom kit. Good luck on yours

Color changing headlights, front side markers (don't have to take the bumper off, but since it's off...), lower grille, new radiator cover (metal plate that sits on top of it if you have the hood open and you're looking down. It's not necessary to have the bumper off, but it's easier if it is. My hood latch was in the way and annoying when I had to take mine off with the bumper still on). Can't think of much else really.
