Broken belt tensioner again E Force supercharger

Just broke the 2nd belt tensioner that comes with the eldelbrock e force kit. Both times has been since I put the nitto drag radials on and they broke after a hard launch. Summit warranted it since it was purchased on 12-17-13 but I need a solution. I called eldelbrock and they didn't have any recommendations and claim they have not heard of this issue. Does anybody have any experience with the special made for eldebrock Dayco belt tensioner?

Are you using the Goodyear Gaterback #4061045 6PK2655 belt that came with the kit? I've had the original belt on mine for 3.5 years and 26K miles and haven't had a problem.

Does anybody know of any billet spring loaded tensioners eldebrock doesn't recommend using a fixed tension and I agree after seeing how much belt stretch and back lash it can produce.

What are stronger options?

The brace doesn't fit mine and I can't find anyone that can make a brace to help it and eldebrock doesn't recommend a fixed tensioner

that looks like the old style tensiober to me. edlvrock sent me the new one for free. i had to add washers and a bolt for srength and to line up the tensioner properly tho but it does look a little bit sturdier. well the tensioner anyway. the bracket is thinner to make up for the beefier tensioner. edwlbrock was lying if they said they havent heard of it

Sorry to see/hear. Never had a problem here with the tensioner. Now the rest of the engine is another story. Hopefully SC is OK. It was shipped to Edelbrock for a lookover. Hope you get it fixed.
