Lightbulb Help me find a beater

So I just moved and need to find a beater until I can order the Camaro around April/May. I'm checking for cars under $1200, but I was hoping to get something for under $1000.

Area zip code 08837 +30 miles or so, or craigslist http://cnj.craigslist.org/cta/

Need to find a car by Monday 01/26 (that's when I have to return my Mustang rental, lol). I haven't checked out any cars in person yet. So far I found:
- '96 Saturn, $900
- '93 Ford Taurus, $895
- Mazda 626 $1200
- '95 dodge neon $950
- '97 dodge neon $950
- '99 ford taurus, $1050
- '94 Mazda MX3 $1000
- '94 saturn SL2 $1100

I offer a case of beer to whoever can come up with a car that gets me to work and back until I got the 'maro

Buy a Huffy and save some more money for the Camaro.

You can send a case of The Silver Bullet to PO BOX 83, 74019.

Those Saturns should run perfectly as long as you maintain them well. My dad's '93 SW2 lasted 13 years/243,000 miles before the engine basically gave out.

They'll rattle and squeak, but usually a good slap to the paneling will stop that.

I can vouch for Saturn reliability. We have a '97 SL2 and while not as many miles as yours, it hasn't had any real problems yet.

Another bonus is that the pannels will never rust

I agree too with the Saturn. I was given a sl2 and drove it back and forth from San diego to vegas every week for 6 months. I tried to break the damn thing just so I can get another car. It had an oil leak and a radiator leak and still didn't break. A buddy of mine took it off my hands about 9 months ago for his 16 yr old daughter and is still running. It had 192,000 miles on it when I got rid of it

Thats a chronic problem with Saturns. You wait for them to die, but they won't. Another good thing about Saturns is they have amazing fuel economy. I averaged over 30 mpg in ours.
