Joing the Camaro crowd maybe.

I have been lurking and reading up on the joys and faults of the 2010+ Camaro and have drove a few of them and fallen hard for the new Camaro.
I am coming from the Corvette world having sold my 2005 DSOM baby. Like most car guys I spent a ton of money building to the way I liked it with headers ect ect and then got the itch and sold it. That was followed buy a three month hook up with a P-car(2000 911) that I hated about a week after I bought it. Do to the job I had I traded the P-car for my current 08 Audi A4 that is for sale. I changed jobs and no longer drive a million miles a month so I want a toy. The thing that turns me on about the Camaro is the the same reason I loved my 05 CTS-V...Space on the inside....well more than my vette. I like the fact it has back seats although probably as useful as the back seats in my P-car they are still their. I am having a hard time switching off my love of the vette, esp since C6Z's are starting to hit 35k and you can get one with mods for about 30-33k. I am looking to spend about 30k or so and when the times comes I will drive or fly to buy and drive home and its going to be a tough choice between Camaro and Corvette. Any way just wanted to stop in and say Hi.
here are a few photos of my past cars

Thanks. The vette is the only car I regret selling it was a blast but I am thinking the maro will fit my needs better than another vette will with growing up(turning the dreaded 30) and getting married ect. Although a Corvette from 25-28 was a fun experience I am thinking the Camaro will be equally as enjoyable. One thing I did not like the Corvette esp an Orange one is you could not park it anywhere with out it getting messed with. I hated taking it to dinners or going to a bar ect, it never got keyed but people would spit on it, it was pissed on once and somebody stuck an unused tampon to the back window. Just stupid childish stuff. I am hoping to blend in a little bit when I do take it out.

nice cars man! I dont think you will be disappointed with the camaro, there are a few differences between 2010/2011, 2012, and 2013 so make sure you know that beforehand. I didnt until I got on this site, I was prepared to buy a used 2010/2011 before I saw the 2012 changes. Now 2013 is even better.

Welcome! +(hopefully)

I would kill a bastard I caught doing this, even to a strangers car. First quick photo with my phone then beat the shit out of the guy in 'self-defense' after I ask him to stop. I can't even comprehend how some people can be so disrespectful of other people's property.

EDIT: Yes, that Vette is beautiful and yes you should buy a Camaro! Sorry I got mad and side tracked! haha.

I found myself in a siimlar situation when I sold my 911. Too expensive to maintain the Pcar but wanted a replacement toy for weekends. I originally had my mind set on a Boss 302 but they were hard to find & didn't like the dollars above MSRP that dealers were asking.

Out of frustration I drove a '12 SS/RS & this seemed to be the ticket. After a month or so I realized this was not "the" car I had hoped for & traded it on a Boss that became available at a local dealer for 1K below MSRP.

The Boss is much more of a sport/muscle car in both power and ride/handling than the Camaro. I'm not partial to any particular brand but I am someone who appreciates a fun ride and really looks forward to getting behind the wheel on nice days & weekends.

The Camaro is a great car & as a daily driver it would be perfect but it just didn't flost my boat as a true performance vehicle that makes you take a deep breath just before turning the key.

Anyway, good luck with your search....enjoy the ride!
