Lost in Shipping Hell Thread!!!

Not to whine too much but my ordering experience with this car has been awful! After waiting 7 months dealing with a lying dealer about allocation, my car was finally built last week, cleared QC and shipped on Thursday 8/3. The Oshawa plant is only 7 hours from my house, so I figured I would finally have my cars in a few days. However, like everything else so far, that hasn't happened. It showed that it was in Transit by truck all weekend. On Monday it changed to In Transit, by Truck, Railyard.

Does that mean that my car just finally got to the rainyard to ship, or that it is at the final destination rail yard and is waiting to be delivered to the dealer. Either way, 7 days is a longggg time to make a 7 hour drive!

Anybody else having issues?

Did you have the rally stripe option? If you did, this should delay shipping as they need to send it to the facility and then back to the factory to begin the "actual" shipping process to the destination.

No, I don't have the Rally Stripes. Thats why I'm really starting to get frustrated. I live in PA, and fall/winter is coming fast. I would like to be able to enjoy the car some before I have to park it for winter.

We know you're anxious but this is the third time you posted the same question. The answer is still 2 weeks is the average time to get the car delivered according to posts on this forum.
I know how you feel. I too am close enough that I would have went to the plant and picked it up if I could rather than wait for the snailrail.

I would bet it ships from the factory to a local railyard/distribution center, and from there is loaded onto trucks that ship direct to the dealer. I don't imagine they ship straight from the factory to the dealership, that wouldn't make sense.
