I paired my Droid X today with the ELM327 by going into Wireless & network settings on phone. Then scan for devices and I entered 1234 for a pairing code and it paired. I thought I read 0000 or 1234 are generic pairing codes and it worked. It took another minute or so and then it was working in Torque. Hopefully that helps? Pretty sweet application.

Am looking into getting the Droid R2D2 from verizon in a few weeks. Been doing some research on the OBDII. I looked on ebay and you can get them for as little as $5. Are these the same as the ones you all are discussing? I would rather spend 30 on something I know is going to work then $5 six times trying to get something to work.

I bought the ELM327 from gadgettown for $40 and it works great. You can get it on ebay for around $16, but it sounded like the shipping would take awhile.

So does anyone know any of the custom PIDs for the Camaro so I can plug them into Torque?

Yup. Torque is an awesome app that will let you monitor and datalog SAE generic and GM's specific datas like Knock, injector duty, vaccum, and so much more on any android phone but there's one HUGE problem with torque if you are using elm327, LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG!! If you are using ELM327 which is probably the only cheap obd2 blutooth adapter that is cheap enough to make $5 bucks torque app worth any. Even the developer does not recommend using elm327. Now don't get me wrong, it will work sometimes, and when it does work it will turn on then turn off, turn on then turn off, it look cool and pretty when you have it mounted on your window and especially when you are driving at night but if you need to really do some logging, monitoring, and need accuracy and consistency elm327+torque will be PITA!! Now I can't say the same about the more expensive $100-$150 obd link or PLX wifi adapters, but if you are going to spend that much then there are other options that will do the job alot better and on windows.

Just giving you guys some heads up. I have it on my phone but have not touched it since I returned my elm327 adapter.
