If you guys need other hotel options check the following towns: Brownsburg, Avon, Plainfield. They are all on the far westside and pretty much just north or south of the track.

Not to freak anybody out, but the hotels located along 465 (just North of I-70) do have periodic thefts and break-ins (not certain about the specific host hotels). Last year when the Goodguys were at IMS someone had their truck, trailer, and show car stolen right out of the hotel lot (it was eventually found). http://www.fox59.com/news/crime/wxin...1623124.column

Hopefully all hotels will have beefed up security for this event. The area of 465 from 38th St. south to I70 and east towards downtown is a fairly high crime impoverished area.

Well this information makes me VERY nervous. I am staying at the La Quinta.

There is going to be 24 hr security at the host hotels.....not to mention a LOT of Camaro folks there most all the time.....so there will be lots of folks watching all of the cars. At least there was at CFII

I just called Ramada and was told they have someone in a van drive through the parking lot ONCE each shift. Doesn't sound very secure to me!

I also called La Quinta and they stated the police cruise through whenever they can and employees check sometimes.

I am not feeling real secure here.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing for $65 a night. I'll have no problem waking up at different times of the night, patrolling.

Anyone have the # to the La Quinta and how far it is from the track?
