2013 ZL1 Most Powerful Chevy Convertible Ever...

Dont know if this has been posted or is news, or how legit it is but it makes for an interesting read.

Chevrolet has announced the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible, the brand’s most-powerful convertible ever. The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show and goes on sale in late 2012. This car will provides more performance and technology than many exotic cars and ultra-luxury convertibles.

Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer ,said,”The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will be one of the most powerful and most capable, convertibles available at any price. This is a car that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face every time you drop the top – or hit the gas.”

2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible Exterior

The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will feature the same design language as the ZL1 coupe. It will get a raised, a front splitter, carbon fiber insert, and new vertical fog lamps with air intakes designed for brake cooling. The hood equiped front-mounted air extractors with the center section made in satin black carbon fiber. At the rear, there will be a larger diffuser and spoiler while the car will sit on a new set of 20″ forged aluminum wheels.

At the the interior, 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will get a redesigned steering wheel, alloy pedals, black leather sports seats with microfiber suede inserts, a Head-Up Display with unique performance readouts, and the “4-pack” auxiliary gauge system featuring a boost readout.

2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible Engine

The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will be powered by the same LSA 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine as the Coupe, that produces a total of 580 HP and 556 lb.-ft. of torque. The powerful engine will be combined with a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission that uses a 240-mm dual-mass flywheel matched with a 240-mm twin-disc clutch system and provide excellent shift smoothness.

2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible Prices

The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will go on sale in late 2012 and the prices will be announced at a later date.

Honestly.....old news on this forum bud, although it was good to read these posts again :-). The LA Auto Show was months ago in Dec 2011 lol.
