I have a 2 and 1/2 year old daily driver and my LS1 Camaro...However I am dying to test out a 2SS...would the dealers let me test drive one just to get a feel for it? I can't say I'd trade it all for it, but I feel like if I don't test drive one I'll never even consider it...but I don't want to "waste anyones time". Any thoughts?

Before my wife and I bought ours, we walked in and asked to test drive it. They had no problems and we are both 22!! With that being said, I would say you want to buy one before you ask to test drive it, not just get a feel for one.

once you test drive one, you will definitely want it.

definitely go test drive it!! its a handful though if your not used to that power but you have experience with that LS1 so ya go for it. some people say they feel slower than the LS1 cars but you have to remember different engine, differnt weight, different gears, different rims and tires, etc... all adds up but go for it. if the dealer gives you trouble go to a different one.

My dealer actually wasn't letting anybody test drive it, so it depends on the dealership.

I went to a couple dealers in Jersey and they wouldn't let me test drive it until I got my credit approved but when I was in Colorado I test drove the one I ended up buying. So, it all depends on the dealer.

I walked in, said I would like to drive that one, and he got the keys.

I was 21. Didn't ask me for any info.

Going in to test drive one is not wasting a dealer's time. Remember, you're doing them the favor by buying a car; contrary to the popular belief that they're doing you a favor by selling it to you. That said, they know that if you test drive one, you'll really really want one.

It's a Camaro any dealer should let you test drive it. Can't say the same if you walked into a Porsche dealer and wanted to take a GT3 for a test drive.

The sales guy at my dealer was just a college kid. He took me to a remote location and said to drive the crap out of it. I did.

I ordered one from him two weeks later.
