Something like that is kind of what I have in mind. That Proclip dash clip puts the device in the same area, for a lot more $$$. It's very clean, though, which I like.

It is stable and absolutely in the perfect position.

Yes, that's about where I want it.

Does anyone use a universal Proclip mount that could be used with a GS3 and an iPhone?

Ok here is my updated mount i have in my 2012 Camaro.
I used the same belt clip in the first post and then went to e-bay and bought a knockoff Garmin GPS mount for $2, and a Universal spring Windshield mount for $4. I cut the suction cup and hinge off the spring mount and trimmed the socket part of the Garmin Mount, I attached the socket side with 3M tape to the back of the Spring mount, and trimmed the ball part to match the size of the belt clip and used a small screw to attach it together. Here are my results.

Leave mine at home, so I can be left alone with my Camaro...just like it should be and used to be. Ahhhh the days when we didnt have to "be connected".

Very "MacGyver-esque"! Well done.

That's my concern as well, and why I'd like a somewhat "universal" clip that I could attach to the Proclip dash base. Don't wanna have to re-do it with each phone and/or driver change.

iOttie one-touch car mount. Can use it on the windshield, but it will also suction to any other flat surface. I have mine right on my dash under the rear view mirror.

Edited: Just clicked your link from the OP, it's the same mount. Try to move it to another location, I'm sure you can figure out a place that doesn't block your view, but still allows you to take advantage of the mount.
