Idiot keyed my car

Title says that. So I took my Camaro to the Chevy dealership and for free of charge they buffed it out (as much as they could). Given it's not a huge white scratch (THANKS HATERS) on the side of my car, there is still a line that you can somewhat see up close.

It being a camaro, I want it to be perfect lol. Are there any remedies or things I can do to maybe completely buff out the scratch?

Also it's an IBM so as you know.. anything shows on that color

That sucks

No there really isn't any easy magic wand here...as you've noted, there's still a line, and that's where the clear coat or maybe even the color coat was gouged. It's a different depth than the rest, so you see a line

They used to sell color-specific waxes that might help a little

I feel your pain. I found one on my trunk and had it buffed, but there's still a little something there. Only a few I know of:

1: touch up paint, which could make it look worse.
2: get it completely repainted.
3: just get a new piece of whatever got scratched.

Don't see any other options :(

Depending on where it is scratched, a side stripe might cover it

It's on the right door by the handle.

I'd say about 2 ft. Whoever did it really failed at keyeing it because it isn't deep. It's almost like a sideways S. Starting from the handle going right

Damn if I wasn't in a different state I would say the same asswipe got me too...lol! The haters got me on the drivers side by the door handle. With me they just gouged out a spot to the metal. That was AFTER they lifted the cover! I feel ya pain! This makes number 2 for me. The first being a month after I got it! BTW painting is the best option....that what I did and will probably do this time too.

Did they try a dab of rubbing compound? It's very abrasive and you have to be careful but I used it on a deep white one on my previous car and it hid it much better where you have to be up close for it. Just a small amount and use it carefully.

I wish people would cut this crap out. You would choke them if you caught them in the act.
