Best Window Tint Darkness for Rear Window?
I was wanting opinions on what would be my best bet for tinting the back glass on a gen5 camaro. I would like it to be nice and dark to where people cannot really make out much detail in the car, but on the other hand I do not want it to be so dark as to make backing up really difficult.
This will go along with 35%(max legal in my state) for the main side windows. Legally there is no limit for the rear glass and rear side windows. So how dark would you go with the main back glass and the rear side windows? Thank you. |

I have 35 sides and 5% rear and back windows. Also, I have a 5% eyebrow. No problems backing up and head on its hard to see in.

don't want to go as dark as %5, i am thinking 20% max at the moment, but worried that it could make backing up and seeing out the back glass more of a hazard.
not sure 35% is dark enough but 20% could be too dark? |

I have 20% and it gets the job done. Still looks pretty good. I can post pictures for you sometime on Friday.

Backup camera is a lifesaver. 5% would be a little tough without it but with it; hell I dont think i have ever looked in my rearview yet. Ohter than to look at the ricer i just blew off.

I roll down my window when parking and backing up, just to be safe.

20% back is perfect for me. Dark enough look from the outside and can see just fine from the inside. I have 35% on the sides, decided to stay legal, but sometimes I wish I had 20% on the sides too.

I'll second the 20% on the back. Love mine.

5% all around. I've got a back up camera, but I still use my side mirrors, rear view is pointless for backing. No issues
