clay bar and waxing

im about to wash my brothers white silverado b4 i was my camaro
my question is after u used the clay bar can you use the wax??
sorry if this was already up im kinda in a hurry help please thank you.

Yeah you clay bar to clean the paint then wax to protect it

Honestly...I would wash with Dawn 1rst...then clay bar..wash again..then
put your wax/sealant on...this is just me though...I would not clay bar
before the first initial wash, the clay will be picking up all kind of debry.

alright thank you every one. we just cleaned it. and it is very very shinny!! we washed and dried it then we clayed it and the we waxed it. i would put some pics of a before and after but my camera suck so yea haha

I saw a thread where someone tells how to cut up a clay bar for the camaro into little pieces that do not get reused or folded. Anyone have that thread?

I wash first with Meguiers Car Wash, then Clay bar, then wax.

Just pull it apart. You can use a knife, but its not necessary.

What lubricant to use with the clay ??

What do you use for lubricant? Can you use Maguires Quik Detailer and/or Meguires Ultimate Quik Detailer ? I have both..

Also the detailer is going to dry in some spots away from where you are claying, is that ok? Do we just wipe it off dry or spray more quik detailer on the dry quik detailer to remove it ?
