THanks for feedback on shift points, I'll bump mine up about 700rpm's.

How long did your car take to get that mileage? I'm still in break in, I ordered a Roto-fab CAI today, hope to have it next week, along with some more miles on the engine. I'm averaging about 17mpg with 60/40 hwy/city this first week.

My drive into work is about 88% freeway and I'm at 24-25mpg shifting at 2500 rmps - I have 4500 on the clock so far.

I had a 2010 V6 Automatic and now have a 2011 V8 6 speed. I can tell you around town the V8 blows away my V6 in using gas. I can kill a 1/4 tank around town so fast it makes my head spin.

Just for argument....to see how much more $$ you spend on gas...
800 miles at 25mpg = 32 gallons x $4/gal = $128.00
800 miles at 20mpg = 40 gallons x $4/gal = $160.00
So you can improve mileage by 25% and save 20% at the pump.
(Mileage based on MY weekly driving)

That might help your MPGs a little, but be careful because you will also like hearing the new roar of your engine and whhhhhooooosh sound as air gets sucked in. This will lead to lower MPGs

Just bought the Mach X-LLT and I saw you had them on your ride.. What do you think? How does it sound? I'm putting mine on this week but just curious what your opinion was. Also I want to get a cold air intake too. What do you recommend? Thanks for your help?

I'm sure it's just me but when I was breaking in my car I was getting something like 12-13mpg. But take into effect that I was breaking it in HARD. I'm sure I could have got the same MPG as I'm getting now if I took it easy. After about 1k miles, I started to take it easy on it.

i have the same model but I get 26.5 mpg, no performance mods yet. but i thought cold air intake is beneficial to the mile per gallon consumption -__-

You have a 2LS and he has a 1LS. The automatics seem to get better mpgs, probably because they are consistent compared to us manual guys deciding when to shift.

Put the Camaro in storage. Drive it on weekend. Buy a beater 4 cyl during the week and drive that most of the time. That want I do. My Camaro is a 12 SS 45th. with the 426HP 6 Speed. I feed it 93 but then again I dont drive it too much.
