Firefighter1 Build Thread [COTW 11/8/10]
Well I guess it's time for me to start my build thread! Let me start by saying thank you to all of the great people that I have met through Camaro 5. Everyone is always so helpful and the wealth of knowledge here is so great. I'm also proud to wear the camaro5 shirt and have people recognize it as great source of camaro info not only for 5th gens but for all generations!
With that said, lets begin I ordered my car back in April 2009. I placed my order with Herb Easley Chevrolet in Wichita Falls Texas. I waited and waited on my car and finally got the call on October the 1O, 2009 that it was ready! First Mods!
So one of the first things I wanted to change was cosmetic! Around the first of January I ordered a set of Lloyds Camaro SS floor mats. A set of Chrome Bowties for the front and rear and then the chrome inserts to go inside the gills on the quarters! I finished these sets of Mods off with a new Hood. The hood came from Sun Coast Creations and is a functional ram air style hood with functional rear heat extractors. The hood is painted and clearcoated top and under neath. I have removed the insulator pad.

Next Mods!
With the first annual Camaro Fest fast approaching I set my goals on getting something unique for the car! I found that the heritage grill would help me stand out from some of the other cars. I decided to leave it clean and not add the emblems back on the car! I then decided to paint my engine cover! This was the first attempt on doing any air brushing and I talked with a local guy here in Abilene Texas. Chance Woodlee with Eagle Eye Custom paint decided we would "experiment" with an idea first and see if I would like it. We both knew this was a test run cause a supercharger was in the plans! I also was able to get my custom Texas Fire Department Plates!

Here comes the Power!
After Camaro Fest I decided to make the move to making more HP! I started with going with an ADM performance Cold Air Intake!
After meeting Andy and Pat, and eventually Rick, I knew that I wanted to get the rest of my work done there. Thus began my quest for more HP.

The Wait before the Build
As many know, ADM performance can get very busy from time to time! So in the time I had to wait. I decided to do some more cosmetic stuff! So I ordered a set of the inferno orange door panels and trim inserts for my car. I took the time to sand them down, and prep them to be painted. Here are the results!

The Build!
On June the 10th, I left my car with Andy, Pat, and Rick at ADM Performance. On the evening of June the 11th the car was going back into my trailer and heading back to Abilene with 625 Rear Wheel HP and ready to tear up the asphalt!
The build consisted of these changes! ADM Performance Stage 2.5 Cam KB Boost a Pump ARH 2" primaries Magnaflow 3" Competition Series ADM Performance Heater Hose Relocator Kit ADM Performance Boost Gauge G1 Camaro Tunnel Brace and something else... oh yeah a TVS 2300 Supercharger!

After the supercharger I began to really show the car more. I have had a great time with it and opening the hood really makes a statement. Here are a few pictures from various meets!

Time to get some new shoes!
I finally got some shoes I liked! These are Axis Zero's; 20 x 9's on the front and 20 x 10's on the back. I'm running Continental DWS extreme contact tires. 275/45/20's on the front and 315/35/20's on the back.
