Did you use any assembly lube for the first initial start up? I used a spray from Comp to ensure the springs and trunions were well lubed. As you most likely know it can take as long as 20 seconds for the oil pump to deliver oil to the parts.

What kind of rpms have you been turning? ~480lbs @ ~.670 lift is putting an awful lot of strain on a single pedestal mount rocker. That is asking quite a bit of a little 8x1.25 bolt into an aluminum head. Have you ever seen what your valve train looks like at high rpms? (like a bunch of wet noodles flopping around)
The wear is right in the load area of the bearings, and since everything else looks OK than I would say it isn't an oiling issue. Maybe a hardening issue on the trunion or just too much load on too small of a bearing surface.

Those trunions worry me.. Have you called comp about the issue? What type of oil? I wouldn't be worried about the missing piece of snap ring. It's not great but it would have to make it by the oil pickup tube, oil pump, then filter before it got to anything else.

Call Comp. See what they say.

Your absolutely right, Jessel makes some nice rockers! I also love their belt driving timing chain.

Below is a video from 2012 PRI that show the difference between stock rockers, YT and the competition. It is very insightful.

Not starting anything Nathan but I've heard of more Yella Terra's breaking rockers than stock ones even . Don't forget to check your spring pressures as YT's have a max of 420lbs. Even on

Chris have you entertained the idea that you also have a .660 lift but you also have a 1.8 rocker ratio AND LsL lobes are not exactly lazy according to Comp.

Maybe on this next go round you switch to a better oil? Non syn Vr1 and a melling pump? Just saying bud.

We've never had an issue with a COMP trunion kit and the OEM rockers are the best option in my opinion. What heads are you running and who did the machine work?

I've broken too many of those... I'd go with Jesel if I was going aftermarket..

JDP they are the TSP Ls7 small bore heads.

Yes I agree about the stock rockers being lighter and stronger with the YT's. sorry Nate I'd just hate for you to break something and I've know you have a nice build going bud. I know it's your build just bending your ear that's all.

Without trying to be a jerk. Those snap rings could have been abused during the install. Opening them up too much with the pliers.
