Did anyone get a real answer to this noise ??? electronic humming sounds about 5 sec after shut down Then sounds like a marble dropping ???

Normal, I hear it all the time. Sounds like an air damper to me. Clicks open when first starting, then sound like it drops in place when shutting off.

Its an anti theft device on automatics that lock the engine for remote start. its explained in the manual

It's happening with manual transmissions also if you would look at what people reporting the sound are driving.

I have never seen in the manual about the remote start locking the engine against theft. Where exactly is that explained?

I also looked in manual I don't see it explained at all ? Went to GM service department talk to an A tech and he did not know ?

I now have a 2012 SS and I don't have the sound...this was on my 2010 1LT
