I'm not 100% on this, but projectors are a type of headlight that still run a halogen bulb, but had the type of housing that an HID-style light has. At least that was my understanding.

The projectors are the center piece of the housing where the headlight shines through. I believe it is a magnifier to help pinpoint the light source, a more focused beam. If you want to upgrade later to HID, all you will need is the HID kit, since the projectors are already there.

The install is fairly simple, but you will have to remove your front bumper. Takes longer the first time you do it...once you are done, you will say...wow that wasn't so hard. The install is pretty straight forward.

+1.

Ofer's the BEST! There are a lot of A+ vendors here but Ofer gets extra credit so IMO he's A++.

So it's not like a complete headlight replacement?

Alright bud...for some reason his link for the lights aren't working....but here is the link to the lights.

http://www.gen5diy.com/exterior/RS_h...s/rs-headlight

Here is the link to the harness you will need

http://www.gen5diy.com/PnP_harnesses...ight-harness-2

This will all run you $900 which is much better than the 2500 the factory will charge. These are the factory lights.

This is Ofers profile. Ask him anything you need and check out his site. He has a ton of cool stuff. Good luck! Pm me if you have any questions.

I have the eagle eyes installed on my ride, that said I would not recommend them. I have had a few issue's, I/E the wires they use is not heavy enough and will melt together right behind the bulb socket. I replaced both sockets and rewired with heavier wire and have had no issue to date.
The adjustment mechanism has broke on both side and I had to epoxy back in place.

Just a couple examples.

Just keep in mind that if you're putting just an HID kit into you reflector housings you're gonna be blinding people on the road. I've seen many do this and the light pattern is all over the place unless you have the bulbs in proper projectors.
