ZL1 pulled for quality control
I found out today that my ZL1 that was built on May 22nd was pulled for quality assessment. Still at 3800. I am glad that it is being done, just hope it isn't going to take a long time like the last QC hold. It must not be a large group of cars either because there is a member who's car got built the same day as mine and he took delivery of it already.
Anybody know what this could be about or how long it might take?

|
GM does random checks to insure that the build is going as planned still. They'll go over it with a fine tooth comb and make sure your car is built to specs. Depending in the QC pool it could take a few days or maybe a week. The only ones that know for sure are the GM inspectors.

My car was built on the may 11 and still hasnt shipped !

Mine was built on 13 April, and did not ship until 11 May, almost a month, see below:
04/13/2012 (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping. For Cadillac, GMC and Buick customers, please contact your dealer or customer service for further updates as no further updates available at this time. 04/14/2012 (4000) Vehicle available to ship. 04/16/2012 (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer). 04/14/2012 (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor. 04/30/2012 (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor. 05/11/2012 (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).
