Wow...this thread got out of hand pretty quick. Has your car had any flood damage?? In my old car we had a hurricane and the water came up to the bottom of the doors at one point. Long story short I think it molded underneath the carpet and I ended up with that smell. Might want to check the carpet in the car.

I was pulled over not long after getting my car and when the cop came to my window he started accusing me of smoking weed. I kept telling him I didn't know what he was talking about, but he swore up and down that he "had a nose for it" and to "stop lying to him". He made me get out of the car and frisked me. Started giving me a hard time that he had a drug dog back in his car. I told him to get it... he then searched my car and found nothing. And then asked me if it was a new car and said it must have been the leather seats... Honestly I never noticed the smell myself. It really was a ridiculous situation.
