Woke the cars up after the long winter break
last weekend gave us a nice break in this weather so we decided to take the cars out and warm them up for the summer. We found a nice little place to open them up a little and someone "Opened it up" a little more than expected.
enjoy: and here is a video showing the Borla touring exhaust compared to the JBA:

I need to find a nice isolated stretch of road like that to test out the mods before hitting the drag strip.

lol, yes it "grew" on me too
I spent sooooo much time researching sound clips online and last year no one in my area had headers or any type of exhaust like this so I went out on a limb. The only clip on youtube was the one JBA posted and I didn't really want to trust that it truly sounded like that. Fortunately it was just what I was looking for.

I am glad you all asked . I was going to ask for some other people with modified exhaust and at least one with stock exhaust to come out there again. I would like to make another video so people here on-line can get a good feel for how all the different setups truly sound.
I know first hand what its like shopping for exhaust and I wish there was one camera/mic that recorded all the different exhaust setups. All these different exhaust videos on youtube are recorded on anything ranging from the iPhone to professional level video equipment. Take Borla for example, their video ROCKS, LOVE it. But if you listen to the same exact exhaust on the same car recorded from a normal camera/mic it sounds totally different, and even worse from a cell phone. That place was Perfect for what we were doing, however the development owner warned us that the County supervisor's house (not shown in this video) was within ear-shot of that road. He was nice and didn't openly ask us to leave but he was hinting there are probably smarter/better places to do that stuff. So does anyone know of a newly developing area with separated 4 lane wide open roads and no buildings or residential areas containing V.I.P.'s. I'm not looking for a place to Drag race and see who can do the longest burnout, I just want a place to shoot multiple videos of many different setups under the same condition using the same camera/mic without getting the Cops called for disturbing the peace.

Come to VMP with us this weekend on the 5th. You can get a few of us with different setups. I just put headers and cats on mine with the A6 resonator and muffler delete! A bit louder than last time we met, but it does calm down to an acceptable level after 10 minutes or so.
A few of us are planning to go as long as the rain is slotted to stay away til the afternoon.
