Need a 6L80e scatter shirld

We were almost asked to leave the track today because we were going to fast without a scatter shield. Other than that we are 100% legit. I know I'll never need it but it's required and I don't feel comfortable lying to the tech inspector. I'd rather just find one that will work. Thanks for any help, ideas, or leads you guys can offer. Thank you!!

For the 4L60 & 6L80 something like he CSR carbon fiber will be what I would try. As for Jason if you call direct.

Your car is just getting beter & better, and this type of good air/low DA makes these motors just grow HP.

Post up more !!! This I love to follow.

None, as of right now. Ted still needs to do some more dialing in. The shifting wasn't were I want it yet. I'll try again next weekend.

Island of course....I'm suprised you didn't already know.

Tech asked and I told them I didn't have one. I wasn't about to lie. Not my style.

The car was off. It was floating around the high tens which to us right now is like running like running a 15. Funny how you get greedy! But the high 10's is still faster than you Mr. Big Block! DOH The cars shifting was squirely to say the least. I went down to get Ted the info he requested to dial it in but my I didn't have things setup properly and that didn't work either. I'll be back next week so you should come with! I'll call you doing the week.

Tracy, do you have any more info on this setup? Are the 4L and the 6L roughly the same case dimensions?

The car has had a cage since the beginning of the year. There are some pics floating around on this site if you want to see it. I just don't have any I can post up on my phone. It will be going in for an upgrade to a 10 point in a few weeks. And only because "its required"!!

I run low 6's in the 1/8. Does that count?

At the bell housing yes, and the unit you may need would be the TH 400 unit. Only 1 bolt hole will not match, but it will pass tech & the CF unit adds almost no weight, your enemy anyway.

If you call CSR Direct, ask for Jason Wood and tell him you have been talking to me. He may have a 6L80E specific model now, but Ive always retrofitted the T400 version w/out much issue.

Quicker that 9.50 and you need it and the cage should be certified. Have Ted do one out of CM for the wieght savings, WELL worth it! Welds need to be Tig, not Mig to pass cert.
