The history tab shows that it was referred to Transportation & Homeland Sec. on 2/23/09.

It currently sits in "Stage 2 - Out of Senate Committee."

I just hope we can get the legislation to pass this thru. Having a front license plate on the vehicles should be a option....cops do like to point it out though if you do not have one....I have been given a ticket for it to only have it thrown out once I showed the courts I had one.....it's just dumb.....here is my thing though....how much money does the state get off of people for not having one? Think about it......it's just not really nessassary. Just tell me where I need to sign to get this law revoked and I will sign on it today....

Is it possible to email Mike Jackson and ask how we can support this bill? Does anyone know of an email list for reps. or senators?

**EDIT** Here's is Mike Jackson's website. If you scroll down you can email his office. I'll try emailing him to see how we can help or show our support. Its worth a try guys. Let's flood his email account

But the red X between stage 1 and stage 2 leads me to believe it failed to complete stage. . i WANT it to pass , but to me ,it doesn't look good

The box would turn red if it failed to complete the stage. There were two similar bills introduced, they stopped one and the other one was sent to the committee. The the legislature is not in session, there is no movement. Once the committees meet again it will be up for review. If the committee accepts, it's got a chance. The committee members are the ones we should be contacting to encourage passing this bill.
