Emissions & Plug Anti-Foulers
I searched and found out some cool stuff. So let me ask this question, with a catless exhaust system, some "anti-foulers" help to eliminate CEL's right? Can it also pass emissions computer testing? I read something about a readiness test your car does? Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

How is a "anti fouler" suppose to stop CEL's? The O2 sensors reads the exhaust. If you put a cap on it with a smaller opening will not stop it from taking samples. The ONLY thing i've heard of that will stop CEL's from the exhaust is a tune that turns them off.

Yeah a tune turns them off, but an anti-fouler "fools" the computer by givin a difference in 02 readings from the front ones. What i wanted to know was about the readiness test.

I used a set of non foulers on my old '06 350z and it worked like a charm. I was able to run test pipes (no cats) without throwing a light.
With that being said, I don't see why it wouldn't work on a Camaro..... BUT... as far as passing emissions goes, they would probably figure it out. For most new cars (at least here in Oregon), they plug into your OBDII port and see if they get any codes... but they also do a quick visual inspection. I know the exhaust on my 350z smelled a bit because the cats weren't burning off the extra fuel.... not to mention it was a lot louder! My personal recommendation would be to run what you want and swap it out when it comes time to go to the DEQ.
