Natural evolution of the design. 100% modern, but you can't mistake the family resemblance. Absolutely gorgeous...these shots make me appreciate what the designers did for the '10 model even more.
...and you know, it doesn't look that much bigger than the '69s. I mean, it didn't seem big while I was next to it, but still that's cool that it's so similar in size. The '67 - '69s were the perfect size 2+2 coupe, imo. |

IMO seeing it with real 1st Gen Camaro's just shows how non-retro the 5th Gen really is.
Retro-inspired cues yes, but it really has only a passing resemblance to it's predecessors. |

My comment wasn't a complaint by any means. I'm not a big fan of the whole retro thing at all really. I think the fact that they managed to design a vehicle that looks 100% new, but still has a couple touches that give it a retro 'flair' is fantastic. |

just can't seem to leave

it's definitely better than just recreating the 1970 model, only heavier & having the same interior as 2 or 3 other current sedans

Rolling along...
|
Seeing this pic makes me think I should drop $30k on a restored '68 instead of a new Camaro. At least I know the '68 would hold it's value for the next 10-20 years. Then again, I'd be more likely to survive an accident in the new Camaro than I would in the '68.
Ugh...anyone got an extra $30k I can have?? I'd rather own both.... |

Until I saw these pictures I didn't realize how true the new Camaro was in regards to the Gen1 Camaro. Nice job GM, great pics too!
