Does Chevy Retard Timing during Breaking period?

I Just went on a long 2K trip with my '13 v6 and when I started it did not have that much pep at take off. After about half way through it is like day and night. Much more power on take off. May just be me more confident in the care while driving but much of the trip from 1500 to 3200 miles I was in 6th gear. Just seams to pull harder in higher gears and off the line in first and second is awesome!

It'll sort of "learn" as you drive. Let it rip.

Cars usually run harder after a proper break in.
