Drive-ability, and a few extra HP is worth it. If you do not want to spend the money on a full dyno tune I would look into a custom tuned mail order setup rather than a canned tune....a lot of tuners offer these rather than canned tunes like we offer with SCT

You can read and clear them but they will keep coming back on. Your codes are 0420 and 0430, Cat efficiency low bank 1 and 2 respectively Your warrantee is gone anyway no need to worry about flashing back to stock.

Is this for me?
I've put on a CAI and Axle-back (muff delete). Will I see an improvement using the Diablo with these changes? |

You will have already voided your warranty by installing the long tubes and replacing/relocating the cats.

You also won't pass emmisions if your state does emmision testing since the cat converter Readiness monitors won't set. Ted.

Will I be able to get a custom tune that increases performance by firming up the tranny etc., but does NOT remove AFM? Is there a charge for custom tunes? Can the file(s) be editted by the user?

Do these hand held tuners allow you to tune the Torque Management in the tranny as well?

Tunes tend to vary by vehicle. For example, there are more options available for diesel truck owners than there are for gas motors. I'm seeing if I can get a breakdown of what is available for each. You usually get a variety of tunes based on octane with some having options for mods like a cold air.

I don't think you will be able to make changes to it your self though.

I have/had a predator for the Dodge Charger. When it first came out it did NOT allow you to adjust the torque management. But in upgrades to the tunes your were able to in predetermined steps.

So now you have me totally paranoid that I won't clear State emissions tests when the time comes? And to the content of this thread, I'm looking closely at some sort of tuning device to A) get CheckEngine reset/off; B) get a proper tune on the car that matches the CAI/ARH combo; and, C) keep it emissions legal. As I understand it the ARH setup included all needed pieces (CATS) to allow me to stay legal... what do *I* need to do here? Oh, BTW! The CAI/ARH combo is freaking awesome! Also awesome: Hurst short throw billet shifter (ordered direct from Hurst)!
