Where the car sleeps

Well I've posted some pics in a few places. I decided to post the garage makeover process. We started this and 2 days later I got called offshore. Kat (SSRSLY on here) did the rest of it while I was away for my Valentines day present!

Quoting her post from another forum:

It was a total mess, since we moved in not too long ago and didn't really get anything organized. Here's what we started with:

Moved everything to the middle and taped off the paint scheme...

Painted the first coat of the top color...

Then Will got called offshore, so the rest of this is all my handiwork! Finished the painting...

Hung the wallpaper trim...

Finally, I borrowed a truck and a friend and picked up a workbench, shelves, and toolbox, and got everything somewhat organized. We now have a LOT of stuff to sort and sell, and once we build a garden shed in the back yard a lot more of this stuff will clear out, but here's what we have so far:

Looks good. What size is your garage? I'm still in the process of working on my and I did the stripes down the middle also. Man were they a pain in the butt to paint on.

Thanks for the kind words. I helped tape the stripes but she painted them so she'd have to answer to how difficult it was to paint. Garage is a 3 car. Kinda hard to tell with the 69 and all the stuff we're storing in there at the moment. We've had 3 cars in it but right now we can fit one in the two car bay with LOTS of room around it. Not sure the official dimensions off the top of my head but I can check. We measured everything when we were ordering materials.

I'm still pissed you got that sign and made me miss my turn off to the track in Bryan/College Station the last time I went up there... I ended up in Longview...

Really? I didn't think it was that bad at all.

To give yall an idea of the size of the garage (and how much crap we need to clear out!)....keep in mind I took this shot with a wide angle lens, so it's a little distorted around the edges, but the two car portion is bigger than standard.

I'll trade you, you two come paint my Garage and I'll stain the floor of yours...

Either way, I'm not staining it. Epoxy maybe, but stain I just don't see working in a garage that will see regular duty and the occasional chemical spill.

Nice work. My wife bought me epoxy floor paint for Christmas that I am planning on putting down this spring. I need to figure out a paint scheme for the walls. This helps with some ideas. Wish mine was a 3 car instead of a 2 car. Damn we have too many cars!
