Only NEW Sales are going to tell the story if this redesign was successful.

Personally - I think the rear end took a MAJOR step backward. I can't imagine finding too many people (existing users or new potential buyers) who like the new rear better. And unless they reveal something else today, it's just plain bad.

The new front looks OK. A minor improvement. I can see it appealing to a broader base who thinks the current front is a bit "cartoonish".

But - IMO, the only weak spot of this car had nothing to do with the exterior at all. Most of the complaints or requests for improvements that I've ever heard about this car are with regard to the interior (matertials and lack of certain features that are becoming standard or at least options on even the cheapest of cars). Yet, it appears that they've done nothing new to the interior. I find that odd.

In my experience, it's a case of non-enthusiast buyers coming to us. Not us to them on any pro-active basis.

True, it was all over the internet in 1970 on how they changed the body so drastically.

I would've voted the same way for the 2013 ("no" I wouldn't purchase and "no" I wouldn't trade my car in for a 2013), that doesn't mean the 2013 is bad.

I got your point, you're missing mine. I have a 2012 Camaro - if there was a poll about "Would you trade your 5th gen in for a 2013?" (even though it's the same design) I'd vote no because I'm happy with my 2012. Does that mean I don't like the 2013 or it's a bad design? Nope. So to the same light, "Would you trade your 2010-2013 Camaro for a 2014?" it'd still be nope and does not mean that it's a bad design. Those type of polls of "Would you trade" or "Would you buy" are only applicable if someone is currently in the market, for those of us who aren't (I'd venture to say the majority on here who already own a 5th gen) are going to skew the results of the poll because they're not in the market in the first place, so of course their answer is no... and that's no reflection on the car itself.

I waited to see the refresh of the 14 and had plans of buying one but when I saw those rear lights I went no way in hell.So Saturday I trade my 11 for a 13 while there were plenty in stock. The front I could live with but the rear looks like the ass of a Charger.WTF were they thinking.

Does that have a Hemi?

Wow just read through this thread. Nastier things said about Camaro and GM than I've ever heard from a Ford fan. Tough crowd, no wonder the Camaro disappeared for a while.

...lol...If "GM Management Reads these Forums", it's probably done mostly by the Management of the GM Employee Children's Day Care Center...lol...
