Maybe I will take my car and run it in Denver so I can break the 14 sec. barrier.

I'm sure they did, as they always do. Running in Denver, you might even see 15s..lol.

All I'm saying is that we have a Mustang guy here, and so far, he's not hit the published times. I'm sure he'll do better, as weather gets better. As of right now though, his Mustang is mid 14s. And isn't that what counts?

BTW, I've kinda been wondering, if at times the rags don't posted corrected times instead of actual times?

At times they post whatever the F sells advertising. Don't be so easy on the business world. They are criminals without boundry and without penalty and those they feed protect them like queens. MT is notorious for it.

Yes and yes.

I would like to see v-6 6M times with decent air and track prep. I am sure it will all come to light over the next several months.

Me too, I can't wait to see other 3.7 1/4 mile times. Maybe sometime during the early part of football season we'll see some performance package 3.7s hitting the track. I'm just surprised there hasn't been any other 3.7 guys testing their cars at the track yet, I feel all alone, and carrying a torch that's getting heavy, lol.

Its lookin like the camaros and mustangs are very close in performance on the drags. Pretty cool cuz that makes it a drivers race and way more fun trash talkin.

Yup, v6 Stang turns 14.0 @ 104. Close, but no cigar.

If your gonna quote the rags, I've found over many many years that C&D comes closest to what someone will get with their own car.

Questions?

Nope but here is an answer. The manufacturer supplies the vehicle they test correct? So maybe its not all just the magazines either.

Its just a logic it should be faster a little bit with almost the same HP and -300lbs of weight. maybe 0.3-0.5s. So 14.0-14.2 should be fair. Strange, cos noone hit low 14's even yet....

It's close enough to be a drivers race. He who drives best wins.

Nope. Keep on reading:

http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/co...rd-mustang-v-6

Big 3 Results for v6 Stang:

R&T ... Mustang 14.0@101
C&D ... Mustang 14.0@104
MT ..... Mustang 13.7@102

MT was off the beaten path, pretty obvious. And any statistician worth their weight knows when one set of numbers is off the beaten path, you DELETE it.

Only 14 sec v6 Stangs here. Yup ...
