At best, it would be whatever the crate engine comes with (which isn't much). But I doubt they would allow the warranty to cover the entire drive train. So if the 700 hp engine does bad things to the transmission, you'd be out of luck.

But I doubt that they'd be emissions legal anyway, so they'd come with the standard 'off road use only' warning. And it takes a while to rack up a few thousand miles going a 1/4 mile at a time.

The thing with this is you have to pay for an extra engine and the engine swap. I think you would be better off splurging for the upcoming Z and you would still save money that you could upgrade other performance parts or bank.
COPO's....Yes, done at the factory! (RPO 9561 & 9563)
Yenko's....No, done at Yenko Chevrolet (a dealership upgrade, just like these).

That's incorrect for '69, at least in regards to the Camaro & Chevelle...Yenko ordered both via COPO [9561 & 9737 for Camaro, 9562 & 9737 for Chevelle]. Once in Canonsburg, Yenko Sportscars, Inc. would add stripes, shifter, whatever the customer wanted, or whatever Don felt like paying for!

And in 1968 Don used COPO 9737, so some of the Camaros he converted were also COPOs.

Ahh yes and no. 67 yes but only 50 or so made, 68 yes and no, 69 no Chevy was doing the 427 at the factory and was available via COPO ordering so it saved Yenko time in not having to swap engines. 69 and after were all COPO orders with some upgrades at the dealership. Yenko turned out cars till 81. So the majority were done at the factory. So unless I can order a LS7 LS9 LSA from the factory in my opinion it's not a COPO and Yenko went out of business. COPO allowed you to order a-lacart now everything s grouped in packages sadly. The only benefit of this is if your trying to be unique but at the sacrifice of less warranty & reliability, and more money.

No problem, glad to help. We have been playing with COPOs Yenkos, Nickeys, Motions, and other Super Cars for years. We have 5 or 6 of them in the shop Right now!

Just an FYI the Super Car Reunion, XIV will be held at a race track in the Chicago Land area this Summer....stay tunned for more details about where the real COPOs come out to play.
